As a professional organizing consultant, I created this product line because there were no optimal solutions that I could find in the marketplace for our clients. I searched every catalog, website, and supply store I could find across the country to locate products that would best meet their needs, but to no avail.    We have several Restoring Order® consultants who organize corporate offices, home-based businesses, and home offices, and all of us continue to find a pressing need for quality, customizable, and attractive systems to manage paper and supplies.    THE PROCESS For the last three years, my husband Trevor has prototyped the whole collection of office products in our garage, which was long ago converted to a metal shop. Together, we have dreamed, concepted, drawn, designed, re-designed, and tested every product.    In the prototyping process, I fixated on every detail of the products. I felt every edge and every fold and every bend. I listened to the way the trays sounded when they slid across the tracks. I found the inspiration for our custom card holder in a vintage hardware store. I drove Trevor crazy sending him back to the “drawing board” over and over again, insisting we “go the distance” to create the best products for our clients. We solicited feedback from the Restoring Order® team, clients, family, friends, and neighbors, who thankfully had the patience and interest to share their opinions.   THE ROLL-OUT Simultaneously this week, our products debuted on national television (HGTV’s Mission: Organization “Getting the Home Office in Order” episode), and our web store launched (found via our website or at www.ReclaimYourOffice.com). The products have created a whole new business that has become a part of Restoring Order®. As a result, we’ve re-designed our website, and created a web store for our products. You can now purchase online the Action Center™, Project Center™, Essentials Center™, Pencil Station, Rubbish Bin, Journal Case, and Large and Small Drawer Dividers.   THE RESULT Our products are made of lightweight aluminum, so they are easy to use and move, while providing the durability only metal can offer. Because we want our products to complement any environment, we chose a luminescent silver powder-coat that sparkles in the light, yet has utilitarian appeal. We assembled our products with rivets for additional strength and an urban aesthetic. Our systems will draw compliments in both home and office settings.   At Restoring Order®, we know that life changes fast, so your office products should change with you.
